Hello friends welcome back , in this post we will see all about Triangles

Definition of triangle

A closed figure made up of three sides is called a triangle. A triangle also has three angles. The sum of all the angles of a triangle is exact 180°.

Perimeter : perimeter of any triangle is equal to the sum of its three sides.
Area :The most appropriate formula to find the area of a triangle is:
1/2 × base × height
Depending on various properties there are many types of triangles.

Types of triangles:- there are following 6 types of triangles based on
various properties of triangles:

  1. Equilateral triangle
  2. Isosceles triangle
  3. Scalene triangle
  4. Acute triangle
  5. Right angled triangle
  6. Obtuse triangle

Types of triangle basis on the number of sides

There are 3 types of triangles on the basis of their sides:

Equilateral triangle: An equilateral triangle is a triangle whose three sides are of equal measure and all three angles are equal to 60 degrees.As the name implies, all the three sides of an equilateral triangle are equal.All angles of an equilateral triangle are also of equal measure.
As we know that the sum of all the three angles of a triangle is 180°and in an equilateral triangle all the three angles are equal. So each angle will be of 60 degrees.

Isosceles triangle: When two sides of a triangle are equal and two angles are equal, then it is called an isosceles triangle. As we can understand that in this triangle two sides are equal, so that they make the measure of their opposite angles also equal.
The angles opposite to the same sides of an isosceles triangle have the same measure.
If we draw a perpendicular from the vertex to the base, it will divide the base into two equal parts.
The perpendicular formed at the base bisects the angle at the vertex.

Perimeter = 2A + B
(In the formula A is the measure of equal sides of the triangle and B is the third side.)

Area = 1/2 × Base × Height

basis of their sides: A triangle whose all three sides are of unequal length is called a scalene triangle. All the three angles inside this triangle are of different measure, that is, no angle is equal.

In triangle ABC

Perimeter = AB + BC + AC

Area = 1/2 × Base × Height

If the three sides of a triangle are given and it is not possible to find the area with the help of any of the above formulas, then the area of any type of triangle can be found by Heron's formula:

Types of triangle basis on the types of angle:

There are 3 types of triangles on the basis of their angles:

Acute angle: A triangle whose each interior angle is less than 90° is called an acute triangle.

Right angle triangle: A triangle whose one of the interior angles is 90° (right angle) is called right angled triangle.

Obtuse triangle: A triangle whose one of the interior angle is greater than 90° is called an obtuse triangle.
